In the heart of the enchanting city of Savannah, Georgia, lies the vibrant Starland District—a neighborhood renowned for its creative flair and artistic spirit. The Starland District has become a thriving center for artists and art enthusiasts and hosts a multitude of unique galleries, independent boutiques, concerts and captivating street art. One of my favorite places to visit in this fun and artsy community is Starland Yard. The atmosphere at the Starland celebrates art, music, delicious food and community.
THE FOOD
Each week, Starland Yard hosts a variety of different food trucks. While the food options vary, there’s almost always a few food trucks offering burgers, tacos, Asian fusion and desserts. During one of our visits, we tried the Dark Shark food truck. I chose chorizo and chicken adobe tacos. These juicy tacos hit the spot on a warm summer day and paired well with some beer. While the chicken adobe and chorizo were good, the real star of the show was the fried peach. I’ve never heard of a deep-fried peach before, but I was pleasantly surprised! The fried peach can best be described as peach cobbler on a stick. The inner peach is juicy and covered in a layer of sugary puff pastry. Money well spent!

If you like predictability, the Vittoria Pizzeria is Starland Yard’s in house restaurant. The Vittoria Pizzeria offers delicious Neapolitan-inspired pizza every day and is generally the reason we go to Starland Yard. In our opinion, it’s one of the best and most authentic places to grab pizza in Savannah.
AMBIANCE
While I love some good drinks and eats, what I really come to Starland Yard for is the vibes. The entire yard is almost completely outdoors with artistic murals centered around an inviting bar area. It’s a great spot to bring friends or even the whole family, including your fur babies. Our pup loves tagging along our visits to Starland Yard. We’ve even encountered a parrot and a goat at the yard, something you really must see to believe.
BOTTOM LINE
Overall, the Starland Yard is one of the most unique places to eat and drink in Savannah. The atmosphere is amazing, encouraging you to walk around, enjoy the sun and meet some new friends. Every visit is a new experience with their rotating food trucks and if change isn’t your thing, you can always depend on their in-house pizzeria, which is one of the best in Savannah. This is a Savannah Secret Society favorite.
